Our Services

Sometimes, traditional medications for common mental health conditions can take weeks or months to start working. But for people who are really struggling - especially those feeling hopeless, severely depressed, or having thoughts of self-harm - waiting that long isn’t always an option.

That’s where rapid-acting infusions come in.

These are medications given directly into your bloodstream, in a safe and supervised clinic setting. The effects can start working within hours, helping you feel relief much faster than typical pills.

Who Might Benefit?

  • People with treatment-resistant conditions

  • Patients who have lasting symptoms even with medication and behavior therapy

It’s important to note that your Mynd Thera provider will guide you through the process and recommend the best personalized approach to address your symptoms and specific needs.

Types of Rapid-Acting Infusions:

Ketamine Infusion

Ketamine infusion therapy is a rapid and effective treatment. Usually, Ketamine is used at high doses as an anaesthetic and analgesic, but low-dose Ketamine infusions have a rapid effect that is similar to traditional antidepressants, and relieved suicidal ideation in many research trial examples.

How it Works:

It is administered slowly over approximately 120 minutes, and many patients experience significant improvement in their symptoms within just a few days, sometimes the next day. This treatment is often provided as a series of sessions to help quickly calm and stabilize symptoms.

What to Expect:

  • You’ll be in a calm, comfortable environment, monitored by trained professionals.

  • You may feel lightheaded, dizzy, or drowsy afterward, so plan to rest and someone is required to drive you home.

  • Many people begin to feel a lift in mood or reduction in distress the same day or the next day.

Important to Know

These treatments do not cause addiction when used as prescribed

They are not a cure, but they can help you get back to a place where maintenance care (like therapy or daily medications) is more effective.

Esketamine (SPRAVATO®) Infusion

Esketamine infusion refers to a medical treatment where Esketamine, a purified version of generic Ketamine, is administered slowly as an intranasal infusion.

Esketamine is FDA-approved for treating resistant, severe depression and indicated for suicidal thoughts as well. The brand name for Esketamine is Spravato and it is produced by the Johnson and Johnson pharmaceutical company. https://www.spravato.com/.

How it Works:

Esketamine, or "S-ketamine", is the "S" enantiomer of Ketamine, meaning it’s a purified, active molecule. It acts mainly on NMDA receptors in the brain, which help regulate numerous functions including mood, pain, and perception.  Infusions deliver the medication directly into the bloodstream to ensure steady, controlled dosing and potent, rapid effect.

What to Expect?

  • As with Ketamine, the Esketamine infusion takes place under supervision, because it can cause dissociation, changes in blood pressure, and/or temporary sedation.

  • Some people feel relaxed or dreamy during the infusion. Others may feel “spacey” or disconnected from their body or surroundings — this is called dissociation, and it wears off after the session. Medical staff are there to make sure you're safe and comfortable the entire time.

Treatment plans depend on patient consultation, our physician’s assessment, and are uniquely tailored to each patient’s needs

Are Ketamine and Esketamine safe?

Yes — when done under professional medical supervision, Ketamine and Esketamine infusion is considered safe. You might feel a little tired, dizzy, or “off” after, so you’ll need someone to drive you home. Critical incidents including death have occurred with illegal, at-home use.
