Our Services

Neuromodulation is a treatment platform that utilizes various techniques to influence nervous system activity with magnetic or electrical fields.

Our clinic specializes in a type of neuromodulation called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) which is noninvasive and can help when traditional treatment approaches aren’t effective. Other neuromodulation techniques include electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial electrical stimulation (TES), Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS), and others that your provider may discuss with you.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. It's used to treat common mental health ailments like depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder, especially in people who haven't responded well to medication or behavioral therapy.

How it Works:

  • A magnetic coil is placed against the scalp, usually near the forehead.

  • The device sends short magnetic pulses through the skull to stimulate specific areas of the brain surface, or cortex, underneath the magnetic coil. Your TMS provider will determine the best location  and stimulation protocol for your condition or condition.

What to Expect:

  • It's a non-invasive procedure, designed to be painless.

  • Each session can last 10–30 minutes, usually not more than 50 minutes, and may include one or more sessions per day and days per week of stimulation to achieve the desired outcome.

  • Patients may respond in as few as 10-20 sessions and achieve remission within 25-50 sessions; however, every case is unique.
